"We (your animal friends and companions) ask that you do one thing today on behalf of the earth and its creatures. It certainly does not have to be a grand or expensive gesture. Small and free work just as well. (say a prayer or blessing, plant a tree, adopt a cat, fill your bird feeder, ...) Use your imagination. Be as creative as you'd like. Use your working thumbs and human power in the world. Stewardship begins with a single step."
