Vegan Considerations

With all the changes going on energetically (ascension), one aspect you may find shifting is how you eat. The Angels say we are being guided now to eat "lighter". Lighter both in allowing more light to come in through our food (aka...pure, fresh, still with life force energy...) and also lighter as in foods that are not heavy for us. It's best to trust your own guidance as to what is right for you. Everyone is different and has different needs. I hear that there can come a time when all you need to live well is light itself (rather than the food)...but it's for sure I'm not there yet! For myself I was guided to give up animal products. (and gluten, and dairy, and soy, and caffeine, etc.) Even when I argued with the Angels about eating grass fed, organic meat....they still said it wouldn't be right for me because it was about the "light"!!! And plants are "lighter"... I also have quite an affinity for animals and found I could no longer eat them. The animals themselves are hoping to guide us away from our reliance (or as they say addiction) to eating them. They willingly sacrifice themselves for us but really wish they would not have to anymore! (especially in the quantities they do now) You see they do have a choice spiritually. They really want us to see ourselves and them as equal...all part of the same Spirit/one-ness. Again, you must do what is best for you and only your inner guidance knows best. For those of you who are interested in allowing more of your own light to come through and accessing your intuition easier and clearer, a lighter diet can help.

I am seeing many more clients and friends eliminating meat from their diets. I am guided today to share some information about making sure you are still getting a good balance of nutrients when you go vegan/vegetarian. (unless you are at that point where light and energy is enough!!) I speak from my experience and the experiences of my clients. I also speak from the research I've done and through some herbal and nutrient training that I've had. It's always best to check with your own medical practitioner as I am in no way disbursing any medical advice.

Here are some considerations for a meat-less diet. You want to make sure you are eating enough and a variety of plants because different vegetables, fruits, etc. offer different nutrients. You can check out one of those color charts that shows you those details.

You want to think about whether you are getting enough protein. (especially for those like me who cannot tolerate soy....and keep in mind soy is over-processed in our culture and difficult to digest unless it is in its purest (fermented) form...and soy can affect female hormones...) There is significant protein in our plant friends (Braggs raw apple cider vinegar has a book available with a chart of the protein content in fruits and vegetables). Also, of course, beans and certain nuts and grains have protein, too. There are protein powder drinks available if you need to supplement (I like the vegan Lifetime LifeBasics brand).

You may want to think about a good natural multivitamin especially if you are not good at eating a lot of variety. You may want to think about adding calcium (with mag and d, too, perhaps). L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is found mostly in meats so you may want to think of that supplement, too.

The two most important considerations for the non-meat eating person are b12 and iron. Again most b12 sources are meat. And especially if you are a menstruating female, iron may need to be added to your diet.

The Angels really like green things!!! Lots of great nutrients in our greens. They also really like plants from the ocean, too. (for us, that is, they really don't need them!!!)

These are meant to be considerations for you because I have seen clients and friends end up deficient in some of these areas after going meat-free without all the info they might need. Check with your medical care person, do your own research, and tune into to your own body.... and eat for your health!
