Feeling incredibly blessed and nostalgic tonight after
seeing the news of the devastating fire in New Hartford. As many of you remember, this was the last physical
home of The Purple Rose.
I loved my neighbors, the building, and the community. We had some wonderful days enjoying the magical
synergistic blend of the businesses there at the time.
When I was guided to change the format of my business, I
admit I was resistant. I loved what I
was doing. It is poignant to look back
now and see how supported I was every step of the way.
As I create product for an Etsy order this evening, I am
feeling so emotional and blessed that I can.
The Purple Rose would not have survived being closed during the pandemic
and I would have lost everything in this fire.
My heart goes out to all who called this historic building
their home. I send love to my friends
who still had businesses there.
I believe there is spirit in everything. I always sought to honor the spirit of this
building while I was there. It certainly
had an energy all its own. Perhaps this spirit
helped everyone get out safely. Thankfully,
according to the news, everyone did.
Blessings,
Laura
