Busy blessings

It was a crazy wonderful busy weekend. Topped off yesterday with brunch at Water's Edge (a gift from friends). After brunch we found a beach down by the shore to play on with a sand bar and sunshine that warmed the water. Then a rush back home to host discovering nature's spirit. Carla Kurt was our guest who shared with us an amazingly cool process of making your own oracle cards!

Are they aliens?

They seem to live completely in their own world. They often wear funny things on their heads backward or sideways. They talk only using their thumbs. They have funny markings or holes in their bodies. They do not understand the rest of us at all. We don't really understand them. They have no desire to live in community with us. Our rules and regulations mean nothing to them. Are they beings from another planet. Or just our teenagers hitting that stage?...

Raven's World-22

Here are Raven's thoughts today:

"The world of Spirit is very much with us. It is not separate as many of you have come to believe. Your separateness beliefs have superimposed a veil between the worlds. Heaven is truly here on Earth. For us (your animal friends) and those of you who remember, we can interact with Spirit. We do not fear death. For we are still very much with ALL family. Here and there. We see the Spirits of Nature, too. That is why you watch us looking at and talking to and playing with friends you may not allow yourself to see."

"Debt" perception

Right before last night's radio show on manifesting Spirit gave me an exercise to share with my listeners. It sounds a bit crazy. But it's about changing the way we perceive things. So in general we view debt as 'bad' and a lot of income as 'good'. So for one day Spirit challenges us to view it in the opposite way. So, mucho debt becomes a good thing. And lots of income becomes a bad thing. Turn our usual perceptions on their head. So if you're one of those people who have a lot of debt, for one day you celebrate this. If you are someone who's not pulling in a lot of dinero right now, this you celebrate, too. Spirit says that if we find peace with whatever we're making (or not making). And then we stop seeing our in-debt-edness as a horrible thing we'll be able to increase our flow of abundance. Helping us to achieve that debt forgiveness, too, that they talked about in my last post. The really cool thing is that after mentioning this challenge on the show last night, a woman in chat shared that she had gotten the same idea a while back and she is now debt free!!!

Debt forgiveness

In preparing for our radio show sun. night (6pm est) on manifesting, I had a thought. What if as part of the bail out of the banks, we included the condition of debt forgiveness for some. What if the individual or family or small business who is using credit cards to survive, for instance, got some relief. Instead of the companies taking the bail out money AND jacking up interest rates into the 20s out of greed. Thereby kicking 'us' when we're down. (and while I'm on the topic, what if those in charge of gas hikes didn't screw us this summer?) What if those struggling to pay the mortgage because of loss of a job that they had for 20 years got a year off or something (forgiven, so to speak). A period of 'grace'. So that they can find their footing again. Spirit let me have my rant. Then they gently came in and suggested I think about the term 'debt forgiveness'. "Isn't that what you all need." They said. "For yourselves. Why don't you start with forgiving yourself for wherever you are. For whatever you did or had to do to get there. Instead you blame yourselves. We hear you. Over and over again you beat yourself up for where you are. For this 'debt'. You hold yourselves (and each other) 'accountable' to the point where it takes its toll on you in other ways. Health manifestations. Family break ups. And most important you hold yourself cut off from source. From love. From which abundance flows. Source is all forgiving."

Raven's World-21

A couple weeks ago hubby and I accompanied friends when synchronistically they came across a puppy. It was the breed they always wanted. But they wanted a male dog and this was a female. I could hear both the guides and the puppy herself clearly indicating this puppy needed to go home with our friends. It was meant to be that they have this dog. They hesitated. I used careful language to encourage them to consider adopting this puppy. It was not my decision, after all. But the guides were screaming at me...and now she thankfully is the newest member of this awesome family! I asked Raven about this and here's what she had to say: (if you have a question for Raven, just leave a comment and she'll answer it in her next post!)

"We (your animals) come to you in male or female form. It matters not to us. For we are all energy beings. Male and female is simply energy. It is you who make such a big deal about the labels. A male dog can be filled with female energy and a female dog can be filled with male energy. Because every living thing has both. You will get the energy that you and your family needs most. Neither is better than the other. It is simply about balancing out what is most needed. Spirit knows what is most needed and will bring that to you. The question is will you accept it?"

Faces

You know what I'd love to see represented in our culture?! An elder woman's face! I'd love to see her face in Hollywood, in magazines, the media, on tv. I'd love for us to honor the elder female with all her wrinkles, spots and grey hair. We talked about the divine female on our radio show on Mother's Day (see archives) but we didn't have time to talk about this aspect. Which is one of my greatest pet peeves. All of us seem to strive for a youthful beauty. Some even under the knife. It has become our culture's definition of 'beauty' for women. Does anyone realize it's an unattainable goal since we all do age. We of course all age in our own way. Some gracefully and some looking a bit weathered from all the challenges we've surmounted. But each beautiful. You know who I think has one of the most beautiful faces? Maya Angelou. I've admired her since I read one of her first books back in school. Her face is pure and it's inspiring. It shows the wisdom and the strength that she owns for all she has had to walk through. This concept speaks to a greater devalue of the female aspect in our culture. If only we could honor each of us for our own uniqueness through every stage of our lives.

Exhale

Today I have some time to actually exhale (before going to work tonight). Our food coffers need to be refilled and some checks need to make their way to the bank. But other than that the day is mine! I hear Raven putting her two cents in for a walk. I hear the couch calling me for nap. I'd like to do more research and organizing for some new classes I'm presenting soon (like empath 101). Most important (and a little known secret addiction of mine, I might add) is that Michael finally woke up on GH and well, I need to see that! Enjoy your Monday!

Full Sunday

After a busy day yesterday of festivals and a two-year old's birthday party, I'm off to work this morning. I'm looking forward to tonight's show ("Discovering Nature's Spirit on blogtalkradio.com at 6 p.m. EST) where our special guest is our beloved Dory Dzinski who is the editor and publisher of The Door Opener magazine and also a spiritual and holistic counselor. Join us if you can!

Busy, busy, busy

Wow, work and home stuff has kept me so busy lately that I haven't had time to blog or attend to other's blogs either. Hubby turned 40 this week, one son has prom, one son has a graduation next week, and we've had wonderful outings with friends. It seems like this pattern may go on through the end of may. It has made the moments of silence, so to speak, the moments of alone time even more precious to me. Work is blessedly busy, too, for which I'm most grateful. I'm meeting wonderful people and getting exciting feedback about how fairies and intuitive hits are playing awesome roles in their lives! And this weekend is forest folk fest if you're interested in stopping by. I'll be there tomorrow! There will be presenters, performers, vendors, feasting...all benefiting St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
